Artificial intelligence (AI) developed using GPT-4, called ChatGPT, has been found to match the top 1% of human thinkers on a standard creativity test. The AI application excelled in fluency and originality, indicating that AI may be developing creative abilities on par with or surpassing human capabilities. The lead researcher, Dr. Erik Guzik, anticipates that AI will become a key tool for business innovation and entrepreneurship. However, more sophisticated tools are needed to differentiate between human and AI-generated ideas. The study was conducted by the University of Montana and its partners.
