I cannot put in words precisely what this album does to me, but it is surely in my top 5 best records in the world EVER, if you consider it's many amazing singles, with it's kick-ass non-album material.
Because with Prince it was never the album on it's own; it was the b-sides, the extended versions, his new look.
A remastered version was on my wishlist for ages and now; here it it!

Well, the #'s say it all; there is a remaster upcoming from the Prince Estate this month.
Even though it's JUST the album and the singles non-album material and NO Vault material whatsoever, I am still curious to find out if their remaster of the extended version of b-side "Girl" and remix of the song "Paisley Park" are up to scratch.
So my banner for now until then is the inside painting of the ATWIAD LP inner sleeve.
Anthony BakerThere’s a new deluxe version of Prince's Around the World in a Day coming out on November 1. Loads of remixes and b-sides coming as part of a Disc 2 for the album. One of them is a 21 minute version of America. Gooooood lord.
TBH, his remixes generally were the original track before it was edited down to the radio/album version. But still, this is the longest track I've ever seen from him.
