Irish Philosophy#HenryCooke died #OTD 1868. Aged only 11 during the #1798Rising, he worked to combat radicalism in education and religion.
As minister in Killyleagh he argued with #ArchibaldHamiltonRowan. He fought the #Belfast Academical Institution, calling it a "seminary of Arianism". He was a key figure in the splitting away of #Unitarianism from the main #Presbyterian church in Ireland.
He shaped the religious landscape in 19th century Ulster.
