Rolled credits tonight. I enjoyed the final reveal of Lemirroir being the original Grammarye and Trucy and Apollo's mom. The whole thing wrapped up in a very satisfying way and I was able to do the whole final trial without an error. Although I don't particularly like Apollo more than Phoenix, I've enjoyed this game more than the previous three. I thought this might be my last Ace Attorney game but I'm a bit more interested in the others now. Eventually. #ApolloJustice
I assume we're going back to court with Apollo now bringing with us what Phoenix has helped us learn in a 4th-wall-breaking scene. The reveal of Apollo being Trucy's brother has been perfectly set up, as was Shadi = Zak. Great "of course! why didn't I see that!" moments. Sometimes these video games are really good. Which is why it's so annoying when they aren't. Like the bailiff with the megaphone. So much text and noise to get to an obvious conclusion. #ApolloJustice
I really enjoyed the MASON system section, jumping back and forth between past and present to put the pieces together. This game has really made some innovations in the investigative sections. Of course there was still a point where none of the evidence I had made sense and there didn't seem to be any evidence I was missing so I had to kind of trial and error until I figured out what would work to break the lock and move on. :| #ApolloJustice

There have been remarkably few gag characters in general in this game compared to the first three and I appreciate it. There was only the "brush" journalist, who wasn't nearly as bad as the "old windbag" security lady. I just don't have the right sense of humour for that kind of thing. I'm really interested in seeing what happens next and how the old case will be relevant in the current one.

I'm probably pretty close to finishing the game, I've made it into the "7 Years Ago" flashback to Phoenix's trial. It's moving along pretty quickly maybe because I'm actually interested in seeing what happens. Phoenix just used the false evidence in the trial and was called out for it by Klavier. I'll admit I've never really liked or cared about Phoenix as a character, but this more serious version of him is more interesting. #ApolloJustice
Playing this game kind of makes me want to play Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright again. I played it before I played any Ace Attorney games, I was just a big Layton fan, so I had no idea what was going on during the trial bits. I think I would probably appreciate it more now. I mean I still hate how the logic works in the AA games, but I kind of understand how the writers think more and am better at guessing. Even if it does not actually make logical sense. #ApolloJustice
It seems like the game is trying to make some explicit commentary on the in-game justice system, but somehow I doubt the idea of getting rid of "decisive evidence" will stick. You wouldn't have any more games if the justice system was reasonable and balanced - the games are a bit of a satire of the Japanese legal system after all. And the whole point is getting people judged not guilty when everything seems to say they are and all the odds are against them. #ApolloJustice
Finished the third chapter. I enjoyed the music up to a point but after listening to the same tracks over and over I'm less of a fan. I'll never understand why these games will make you watch the same cutscenes or show you a flashback over and over that you just saw, but then you're supposed to remember exact phrasing from something someone said ages ago. The soundboard was fun though. #ApolloJustice
