Louis Hartmann loses his father, a private detective investigating a string of murders, leaving him all alone. Rumor has it that the murders are the work of a Grave-Digger Vampire. Louis isn’t keen on superstitions and vows to catch the culprit himself. That is, until a self-proclaimed detective, Arne Neuntöte, and his assistant, Lynn Reinweiß, appear. A new door is about to open for Louis

First winter season show and I picked this little one up. The case book of Arne is based on a video game that was created in rpg maker according to wiki, that is surprising. I don’t know anything about the game, so going in blind. I am enjoying the casebook of arne surprisingly.

The series is about Arne, the most powerful vampire who solves mysteries and his payment is of course blood. The mysteries are self-contained from the first two episodes I’ve watched. They do have a small little twist, with the series of course being heavy into the supernatural.

The first episode I thought was tragic, not going to spoil it of course for anyone planning on watching it. I did find the 2 mysteries nice, they don’t give the answers away, at least not make the mystery obvious or hard to follow it, and it certainly doesn’t hand the answer to you. I do find Lynn amusing, since she is a vampire nut. Which is quite interesting, the world emphasises that the supernatural doesn’t exist, yet it is being sharply contradicted that it does exist.

Arne Neuntöte is the main protagonist of the series. Being the most powerful vampire, by having the 9 vampire kings merge their hearts into one being, Arne was spawned or born, whichever one. In his childlike form, his power is vastly reduced from what I can see. However, once he drinks blood, his true form is that of a very formidable foe. Now, heading up a private mystery detective agency with Lynn, they go around solving cases that involves the supernatural.

Lynn Reinweiß is just hilarious. She is the only heir the reinweiB family, she is passed down this family heirloom locket. The reason why she is hilarious – as written above she is a total vampire nut. When she first met Arne, she was expecting the saucy lady getting bitten on the neck treatment – Arne just withdrew blood from her via IV. Which caused a scandal for her. Besides that, not much else is known about her.

Would I continue watching?

As written above, yeah, I’ll keep watching, it has me intrigued as to how the series will keep heading. The mysteries are keeping me vested.

If it looks like a dog and acts like a dog and insists it’s a dog, it’s…a dog? Probably? She adopted it anyway, and her life with this “dog” will never be boring!

I actually had with you and the rain on my radar; however, it pretty much got pushed aside, due to amount of shows I picked it up anyway. And honestly, glad I did. I’m really enjoying the slow paced, series. and I’m only 2 episodes in. It’s really enjoyable, just sitting back and not really think about what’s going on. The calmness it brings as well, that I feel is an understatement.

Fuji met the nameless dog, which uses sketchpad to communicate with people. And they bonded really quickly. I think with any Iyashikei anime, you’ll quickly notice that the companion is pretty much a tanuki, in world though, they pass it off as an odd-looking animal.

Did you see the angel like mask on the nameless dog? also, I love the art on the rain and flowers, it is gorgeous! not only that, but I also love how Fuji’s eyes are, striking blue. Catches my attention quite often. The soft gentle music played really helps with the mood. Sure, nothing of note happens, however just watching Fuji smile and seeing the nameless dog and their daily life is really calming, very charming too

Fuji is an introverted, reserved novelist. Who came across the nameless dog. As said above, her eyes are striking to me. Besides being a novelist, she does say she isn’t a sweet person, which contradicts with her interactions with others. Other than that, not much is known about her.

Nameless dog. I love this dog, his ability to use a sketchpad to communicate with people is funny, yet charming. It’s hinted at (pretty much can guess) it’s an actual tanuki, as it has a leaf on its head. Charmed by its personality.

Would I continue watching?

Yeah, the series is a hidden gem, it has that soothing, calming, gentle, atmosphere that can be watched as a come down from all the other shows

Dennis is one of the most popular members of the Silverwing Battalion, the world’s strongest party. Yay!!! a series with food!!!, I do love these shows. Nothing beats sitting down with snacks and eating food, whilst watching anime food being made, makes me even more appreciative of the food I’m eating.

You guys saw them scrumptious food too, right?!?! right? Welcome to the outcast restaurant is a little bit different, unlike one of my favourite being restaurant to another world. Yeah, the premises is in the same vein. However.

Welcome to the outcast restaurant is tad darker. Here’s why, the main plight focuses more on the younger, newbie adventurers. Take Henrietta for instance. On the second episode (I believe), she almost got SA’d by a group that took her on. If it wasn’t for Dennis timely action.. paper bag over head and all, it would have been bad for her. Vivia, abandoned by his group to fend and even die. That in of itself is bad, to make things worse. He got saved by a ghost, who also got ditched by her own party 13 years ago.

The current episode also had something bad. What I got from the four episodes watched, Dennis’s restaurant is a safe haven for these adventurers that have been badly mistreated by others. He does what others don’t. Looks out for them. The food is more comfort for them, even though I drool over it. I suspect that these regulars will end up forming their own party. The hint it already there.

Dennis

Dennis is a former adventurer of the highly influential guild silver wing battalion. Coming from a A-ranked party, he knows how to handle himself. Saved Atelier from slavery. Comes across more as an older brother / dad figure to the younger adventures that frequent his restaurant. I do love how he calls Henrietta a moocher, since she can’t pay for her food. Not much else is known about him.

Atelier

Atelier is a young girl with a tragic backstory. She came from a kingdom where her parents were killed, she was sold off as a slave. Being very much reserved due to her treatment of being a slave. He idolises and cherishes Dennis. Her stubbornness is rather cute. She works as a waitress and is highly observant, although she keeps it mostly to herself, unless Dennis needs to know.

Would I continue watching?

I do love the eccentric characters that are regulars. So yeah, I’ll keep watching it!!

Screw you all, if you aren’t watching this little gem of a show. Well, if you’re an avid cat lover like me, screw you all for skipping out on this anyway. Look at these babies!!! they just look into your soul and want you just to cuddle them. I haven’t even watched halfway of the first episode and I’m already calling it!

The premises of the show is just deliciously meowilarious, and I love it. Humans turn into cats just by having them rub up to you. How can you say no! you heartless bastards, shame on you.

All paws aside. There is a mystery as to why people are turning into cats. I do think it’s got something to do with one of the characters, Kunagi. He has amnesia, so clearly, that could be something, the clues are there to be sniffed at, he turns up and some yowling later this happens. Another thing, the OP has a red moon with a cat in it – join the kitty kult, meowssiah confirmed! Anyway, would you run from our felines or allow to be turned into one?

Meh the bloody hoomans. Kungai is the amnesiac male lead that loves cats, but for some reason cats don’t love him. Which causes emotional da… *coughs* I mean distress to him. Absurdly strong. Has a kitty apron on, thanks to him working at a cat cafe.

The other useless hooman Kaoru. She is a high schooler, who found Kunagi and took him in with her older brother who runs a struggling cat cafe. Is the voice of logic and reason, she does smack Kunagi whenever he falls for the kitty cuteness, to prevent him from turning into one.

Would I continue watching?

Summer Pockets: A sunlit journey of memories and romance

Summer Pockets is set on an isolated, rural and peaceful island on the Seto Inland Sea called Torishirojima, which has a population of about 2,000 people. The protagonist is Hairi Takahara, a young man not native to the island. Hairi grew up in an urban setting, but after an unpleasant incident he uses the recent death of his grandmother as an excuse to come to the island to take care of her estate sale. Once there, he gets to know four girls who are the focus of the story. They include Shiroha Naruse, who forgot her summer vacation; Ao Sorakado, who is pursuing the legends of the island; Kamome Kushima, a high-class girl looking for a pirate ship; and Tsumugi Wenders, a younger girl trying to find herself

Summer memories and adventures await

It’s been a very long time since I last watched anything from Keys, that one being Charlotte. And that’s the only series I’ve watched from them. So, having another go with Summer pockets is one I found interesting. Summer pocket is pretty much your quintessential Key visual novel. And this is what’s this is based on, granted I haven’t played the visual novel, so I’m going in blind.

Honestly, nothing much happens in the 3 episodes I’ve watched, if anything happens at all. And that’s fine, I found myself thinking summer pockets picked the wrong season to be airing, as the namesake is far more suited to the summer season. As it really does have that summer vibe to it. The art scenery is gorgeous.

I’m guessing the show’s premises is finding or rather re-finding lost youth, as Takahara struggled with something in his life and is here to find himself. Along the way some love interests in basically a harem. Usually, I’d leave this at the would I still watch it section but will mention it here. This show makes a very nice Sunday viewing, imo.

Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?: First Impression

Takahara Hairi is your typical male lead. I do think he is somewhat left blank, since he is the main lead in the visual novel so his personality is very typical of visual novel leads – if that makes sense at all. His history over at the mainland is interesting, he has some history being part of the swimming team, whilst not living up to swim team, has caused him to have some trauma. So, he is chilling on the island and finding which girl he can add to his growing harem. He may have some connection or memories to the island, as there are subtle hints.

Shiroha Naruse I’d say is the main girl for the anime. As Takahara has a bit more interaction with her or run ins with her at least. She seems to like swimming just like Takahara. She is the most mysterious one from the looks of it. Her personality is okay, I found. Other than that, not much else.

Would I continue watching?

Yeah, I’d continue with it. Makes a very pleasant Sunday viewing.

Chika Suzugamori is a college student aspiring to become a manga artist. Chika has won a rookie manga award, but her heart is about to break when all three of the manga drafts she submitted for her new works to the editorial department were rejected. For fun, she conducts a survey on SNS about her journey’s destination, and gets a great response. Unable to back down, she decides to start a haphazard journey, relying on the survey.

Which random journey awaits?

The last time I watched a CGDCT was Pon no michi. So well done to me for picking a nice CGDCT again. This time around it’s about travelling. Chika after winning a manga competition can’t quite find out why her drafts are all being rejected. Understandable it would leave anyone in a creative stump. Que the very creative way of getting out of that slump – travelling on a whim with very little direction in mind. I kind of like that approach. You just never know where you’ll end up.

Zatsu is one that I found quite relaxing. Granted BARELY ANYTHING HAPPENS, at the most is Chika getting caught out at night without a place to stay, even then, that is quickly remedied thanks to her trusted phone. Honestly, that’s the best summary I can put it across. The real nice thing about Zatsu is seeing parts of Japan that most won’t know about. It’s almost like an advertisement for the country, nothing wrong with that.

The main point of the series is for Chika to experience life and enjoy what it brings with her friends. In an attempt for her to get her out of the slump she’s in. And I quite like that, granted there are major draw backs as she found out. Travelling is fun and rewarding, however the drawback, an expensive hobby. The randomness of where she will be heading, is a nice touch I felt. The other drawback is travelling alone can be a bit lonely. One thing she should do is have a bit of planning to her randomness.

For the most part, I don’t really know much about Chika, other than being a student who won a manga competition and is getting rejected. I don’t quite understand why she isn’t asking for feedback though. Anyway, being inspired by a travelling show, she decided impromptu to take a vague poll of where she should travel. And that’s pretty much it. She travels alone or with her friends. She is resourceful with her trusty phone as that bails her out in some situations. Will say Chika is cute though.

Would I continue watching?

Yeah, I’ll keep watching, despite nothing really happening, I find it relaxing, a nice little cozy home travel series, that shows parts of Japan that most, certainly I didn’t know about and their local cuisine
