Zebra Mother and Foal
A fellow artist sent me a photo of a zebra and her foal, and he suggested I paint it. The picture was taken in a dry, hot area about a half-hour drive from Kruger Park, known as Marloth Park. Marloth is one of those places that never gets enough rain. The trees are stunted and grey, and rocks scatter the area. It is a unique place to visit - a true African bushveld experience.
