Rotor brake released.
Collective rising.
Arrow keys engaged.

An early MH-60L Direct Action Penetrator takeoff attempt at Andersen Air Force Base inside DCS World — before the successful departure later achieved in Tbilisi.

No joystick.
No cyclic precision.
Only keyboard inputs against full helicopter physics.

The result: overcorrection, rotor instability, and impact during liftoff.

This was part of the learning phase:
understanding startup procedures, cyclic response, and the limits of digital keyboard control in a rotorcraft environment.

The MH-60L DAP configuration:
• ×38 Hydra 70 rockets (M261 pods)
• ×8 AGM-114 Hellfire missiles
• USCBP-inspired livery
• Tail #: N926MP
• Callsign: Enfield 1-1

Before stable flight came trial and error.

“I NEED A STICK! 😭”
