Ascending to the south ridge of Chöpfenberg

I stood up early at 4:45 in the morning to meet my climbing partner at 6 at the Winterthur central station. There we traveled by train and Postauto up to Innerthal near the Wägitaler See. The rain was just over with very low hanging clouds. The hike up is quite easy. At the Alp near Trepsen it was partly very muddy for the rest of the trail. However the worst parts are nicely prepared with wooden planks. After a short break and many doubts if climbing is worthwhile we left the marked trail at P.1587 and followed an unmarked trail to the beginning of the crag. Again very muddy and partly quite steep on loose small stones and wet grass.
Just as we arrived at the starting point, the clouds around us began to disappear and we saw some other climbers who has just started.
