@DrSuzanne Yep. That murder by magazine scene being a case in point.
Also, we forget that this movie is 45 yo (!!!!) and Ripley's character being a woman was kind of radical at that time. (I think Ripley WAS originally written as a male character actually) so all of the other characters' dismissal of her comments takes on an added subtext -- would they have behaved the same if she were a he? #FridayThrillerClub πΎ #AlienDirectorsCut
