And it was wonderfully re-assuring and empowering walking into the facility with a distillation of questions coming from so many people's experiences, on paper, in my pocket.

I've made a list of +50 questions from what's been posted and some extras.

m. Is there a structure for assisting residents in maintaining communication/contact with friends and family?

n. Are residents assisted in using their phones.

o. How much, if any, assistance do they get with using their IT devices? Their blind talking book devices?

p. Is the use of heaphones mandatory in some areas? All areas? Including TV in their rooms?

q. What's the situation with noise? Singing in room? Party in room? HiFi in room? TV in room?

i. Vaccination program - what's the current rate of flu and Covid vaccination for staff?
For residents?

j. What's in place to cover the facility manager having extended or repeated absences?

k. Call bell attendance - what's the situation? Time limits? Reliable near meal-times?

l. Keeping relatives informed within 24 hours of all falls and significant accidents - does this happen reliably? What action is taken if family not notified?
