Strange night seeing the #Madleen boarded illegally by #Israel and its passengers kidnapped while, halfway around the world, the United States turns its armed forces against its own citizens shows how fleeting democracy is. These two nations still call themselves that when they probably haven't been for years.
We will have to start over. This doesn't end with an election.
Crazy even for this #AgeOfImpunity, there are still no charges levied in the horrendous boat accident that left one dead and at least one critically injured when some rich guy smashed his luxury boat into the back of the Clearwater Ferry almost 2 weeks ago. Still. No. Charges. The video is crazy - it certainly seems like a crime to me, but I guess it is different if you are rich.
@quinn until we start imprisoning senior executives for long sentences when corporations break the law, it's just the cost of doing business.
@alfredo_liberal Doesn't matter. The judges in Florida have pledged fealty to him. Case would not make it out of the state.
@shawnwegner Or they want publicity around the time his most challenging primary opponent announces his bid for president. It seems we in the public are always waiting and hoping for justice, but the weak promise of justice is only used to generate publicity and clicks.
