George Washington Carver, best known for his scientific innovations, was also an artist who experimented with natural pigments since childhood. These paint swatches at the GW Carver Museum at Tuskegee show the color palettes he developed using natural #clay from Alabama. Just finished working on some pages for a kids' art #zine we're making for upcoming community #Kwanzaa celebrations. Each child will be given a gift bag with zines, stickers, clay and other little art supplies. Last year, I just attended the celebration and this year I'm happy to be involved. I've never celebrated Kwanzaa in my home, but its a really good way to feel connected and grounded in positive ethics.
