@tofu #sarcasm aside, I do think that #Valve could do more in terms of #accessibility, tho the good part is that one could just hookup the #Xbox #AdaptiveController (which, despite being bodily abled I'd want to get my hands on because it's way easier to integrate than those Arcade Button & Stick controller boards) and custom-map it.

  • I mean, even paralyzed people deserve entertainment.

I hope someone develops a #VR / #AR - #DesktopEnvoirment for #Linux similar to the #AppleVisionPro's ability to let #apps "float"...

@hellomiakoda also most of those features were already implemented with the #OUYA!

Including, but not not limited to:

  • Developer mode
  • Support of various different controllers
  • Bluetooth Audio
  • Rectangular / Cube shape
  • Optional Multimedia support

Others have only been partially done by the big players.

So far, I'm covinced the new #SteamMachine can offer these features except HDMI-In (tho one could just get a USB-HDMI Capture Card and mod that feature in)…

@balloonpup I mean, I can see how the #OrbiTouch really makes things accessible and for many folks it's either it or nothing as an input device.

  • And mayve in an alternate universe something like that or a dataglove interpreting micromotions without resistance is the default and buttons are being the exception rather than norm.

And yes, I do know some folks don't have digits or useable articulation in them so that is OFC a more than valid reason...

#Accessibility matters and similarly I do think that the #AdaptiveController for the #XboxOne is good because it'll make #Gaming more #accessible...

@macst3r Also eine bessere Alternative zum #AdaptiveController?

Nice...

“Players will soon be able to remap controller buttons to almost 90 keyboard keys on the Xbox Adaptive Controller and Elite Series 2…”

Not sure why, though. No mouse, so it is not (yet?) a competitor to Stem Input, reWASD, JoyShockMapper, etc., but the more options the better, I guess.

Also, will it work as a keyboard on, say, Android or another (Linux, Mac) PC? Curious.
