- It has just presided said #UNSC for the first time in January 2026.
- At the same #AU summit, Somalia chaired the A3 ministerial meeting (African countries seating at the UNSC and holding an aligned position there, including #Liberia and the #DRC).
- Besides being a sign of an ever-growing diplomatic clout, UNSC and #AUPSC seats will also be precious to Somalia on dossiers such as #Somaliland and #AUSSOM.
