Another expert witness service company tried to add me to their stable this week. I always decline, because their contracts are too restrictive. I wrote in my reply today, “I won’t be signing a contract with [name redacted]. I don’t sign non-compete agreements of any kind. I always reserve the right to market to anyone, anywhere, anytime.”

The expert witness “matchmaking” companies include contract language that prohibits you from contacting the client for additional business. That client is off limits unless you go through their service. Excuse me, but they’re not on the management team at FIFO Networks, and they don’t get to decide who I can and can’t negotiate new contracts with.
