Next Artfight attack I want to talk about is from Fuzzikayu ! A super cool artist with an incredibly vivid and expressive artstyle. Quick heads-up though: a lot of their gallery is very NSFW-focused 😘

So, you have been warned! Or you are welcome. It's good stuff!

Fuzzikayu drew my beloved goat girl Bramble, and honestly… the idea they went with is so simple and perfect that I’m kind of mad I didn’t think of it myself. They put Bramble in the iconic pose from The Sound of Music, framed in a bed of flowers with mountains in the background.

And it just WORKS. It’s funny, charming, and fits her unbelievably well. The amount of detail in the dress and the sense of movement in the pose is absolutely stunning. Everything flows so naturally. Easily one of my favourite Bramble pieces I’ve ever received. Just love looking at it!

Fuzzikayu’s artstyle is just so pleasant to look at: crisp, confident lines, soft textured shading, and tons of expression. It’s bold without being noisy, and very intentional in how it uses shape and motion. It just is naturally appealing, and that is very difficult to do.

What’s especially interesting is the contrast: Fuzzikayu’s own character designs lean to round and soft forms, while mine tend to be more angular and sharp. I love to see how Fuzzikayu respects the design language of my design, and added their own elements into it. It is such a good blend.

Fuzzikayu was actually one of the first artists I attacked last year. I drew their character Kibokwe in an arena setting, partly because I loved the artstyle, but also because they’re a fellow worldbuilder. Most of their characters share a universe.

I love seeing characters exist within a larger setting. I read through Kibokwe’s description to find a fitting scenario and noticed there weren’t many action poses in their gallery. So that felt like a fun gap to explore with my own interpretation! : D

Early Artfight for me is usually about attacking new people, just for the fun of it and I don’t expect an attack back. Which made this exchange really exciting <3
