Yesterday, I gave my first international academic talk on my PhD research in pulsar science at the ACAMAR (Australia-China Consortium for Astrophysical Research) event and it went really well!

I wasn’t nervous, spoke clearly and folks took lots of pics of my talk from the event in China.

There were lots of good talks at the event, esp. from Aussie ECRs/scientists including my friends Kat Ross, Emil Lenc, Ivy Wong, Aman Chokshi and Andrew Zic (one of my supervisors) and more.

Very lucky and grateful to have been given this opportunity to share my research with such great company.

My first author paper on my research will be out very soon, another major milestone in my science career. Am very excited to share the science with the world!

Canopus – Alpha Carinae (α Car), is een witte heldere reuzenster in het sterrenbeeld Carina. Met een schijnbare helderheid van magnitude -0,74 is het de helderste ster in Carina – Kiel en de tweede helderste ster aan de hemel, na Sirius in Orion.
