All the talk of harms and inevitable serious impacts on residents and businesses from 3,000 people forced to live without homes because of the unaffordable rents in #Vancouver neglect to mention that if everyone magically disappears after all their possessions are destroyed or (ironically) we pay to put them in jail, a vast number of those same local businesses and residents will be wiped away by #gentrification

Instead of housing the homeless people whose tents they’re destroying, the #ABCCityCouncil just voted to evict up to 2000 more people a year in their developer-giveaway version of the #BroadwayPlan (just in the Broadway corridor)

Because 3000 homeless in #Vancouver wasn’t enough
