echo ✨well #larp was great! what an emotional game- i ended up playing an interesting arc of being an vaguely leftist outsider pushed to join a imperfect centrist system in order to try to do good, leading to opposing the revolution when it finally erupted in violence. seeing people considered friends and family across from my character as the two sides prepared to open fire... whew. very emotional. lots of politics, feelings, and hard decisions.

This year, I played two different characters throughout the game - first was the gangster Florie and second the sergeant Zola from RCM precinct 23.
It was fun, changing the characters mid-game, and it probably helped with the bleed as I don't feel as exhausted as last year 🙂
One funny highlight is that both of my characters had beaten up a single other character in game on two consecutive days (for different reasons), and then carried their weapon as a symbol/trophy for others to see 😃 And I take it as a compliment that the beaten up player told me they didn't even realized that I played both of those characters 😺

Hey folks, a little bit of promotion - an amazing international #LARP is happening in the summer in the Czech Republic: 97 Poets of Revachol. I attended the first run ever last year and it was an amazing experience - I already signed up to play a different character this year. The game is so big and so beautifully crafted that I guess I could go four times and still miss on a lot from the revolving stories of people of La Cage in Revachol.
Just after LARP, I've discovered there were whole physical areas where I haven't been, and so many small backstories (and big ones too), even for characters I interacted with in-game, that led me to an instant decision to go again and experience new viewpoints.
Some more selling points for the game:
- there's no need of prior knowledge of Disco Elysium to attend
- game is extremely LGBTQ+ friendly and just a few critical characters have set gender and others are for the players to decide how they'll play them
