Lorenzo Daretti Finishes 2024 MotoGP eSport World Championship in Fifth Place

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP eSport rider Lorenzo Daretti fought tooth and nail during the 2024 MotoGP eSport Global Series Finale, held today at the Milan Global Week event in Italy. He entered the third and final round with a 3-point gap to second in the overall standings, and 27 points from first. With a maximum of 125 points being awarded at the third and final round (25 points for the Sprint and 50 points for each Race), it was still all to play for. Trastevere73 delivered a hard-fought fifth place in the Sprint at the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto, but an unlucky seventh place at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello (Race 5) and another seventh place at the Circuit Of The Americas (Race 6) ended his MotoGP eSport World Championship title hopes. He wrapped up the season in fifth place with an 81-point margin to first.

Lorenzo Daretti (aka Trast73 or Trastevere73) kept his cool in today's Round 2 of the 2024 MotoGP eSport Global Series. The Italian had to give it his all in fierce battles in the Sprint (Buriram, Thailand) and the two Races (Sepang, Malaysia, and Valencia, Spain), securing third, first, and fifth place respectively. These results allowed him to keep third place in the championship standings and narrow down the gap to first and second with one more round (where double points will be awarded in the final two races) to go.
