Paul Mietz EgliToday was a two-fer for music: #Jamuary and Two Hour Album Challenge! The theme for #2HAC Volume 33 was “Scatter”, and my thoughts must still be on rhythms because I decided to do an all-percussion song where the instruments move around in stereo space. I combined an acoustic drum kit, Brazilian hand percussion, a xylophone, and a weird space alien sound kit to make “Scattered and Dismayed”.
INFUI participated in 2 hour album challenge - make a track in 2 hours under theme "Desire" it's track nr 25, but please do check entore rest of album as well, tons of beautiful souls contributed to it and you'd love to hear their take on the theme!

Xylander 🎧Today's track is doing double duty as it was created for the 2 Hour Album Challenge #2hac in addition to #Jamuary. In that challenge you have to create a complete track, start to finish in just 2 hours. There's also a theme which this time around was 'Life’.
I decided to create my track in a musique concrète style by using only recordings of animal noises which I found on freesound.org. I actually only spent an hour on this so far so may tweak it tomorrow.

A few days after I wrote “Undertow” for the Two Hour Album Challenge, I was out one of my regular morning runs. As I was exiting Natural Bridges, I saw that someone had left carnations and candles on the path next to West Cliff Dr overlooking the ocean. I felt a strong connection between that makeshift memorial and my song, and it inspired me to create this video. This is the first time I’ve deliberately put images to any music I’ve composed. I hope you like it!
