Hey all,

I just got a Cannon EOS 2000D/Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR for my birthday. It advertised Canon Connect to tirelessly send pictures to my phone. That's neat! But I don't want to give data to Canon if I don't have to.

Is there a 3rd party app for doing this that doesn't contact Canon? Preferably FOSS. Can be Android or Debian. I can try and get a Windows one to work through Proton too.

This is a shot of the clear blue sky.

I've cleaned everything I can find to clean but still get that from my camera.

I know for a fact it's nothing on the swappable lens or the moveable mirror inside. So somewhere in the actual camera itself that I don't know how to reach.

It's a canon EOS 2000D.

Any suggestions?
