It is frustrating as sooo many dramas use this trope. Even that beloved #BoysOverFlowers. Supposed to lend itself to the love conquers all thing or just lazy?

2 that really made me groan. First was fairly recent #DoDoSolSolLaLa where ML let's FL and everyone else think that he is dead! Not moved away to study but dead! The other was #12YearsPromise also starring #NamgoongMin. 2 teens fall in love. She gets pregnant, loses baby then moves away after misunderstandings. Hurt all around but she returns after 12 yrs, albeit with a new name and obviously it is an older actress but one is lead to believe that he doesn't recognize his first love. Huh? Only a bottle of banana milk tips him off. 🤬 Love quickly ensues yada yada yada
