Do I need a license to kill a squirrel? - Lemmy.World

I know this would vary from locale to locale, but, presumably, there are some animals that do not require a permit to kill (mice in mouse traps, for example). How does this work? Is there a list of “always OK to kill” species?

How is bandwidth allocated on my home network? - Lemmy.World

Hi smart people, If I have several computers on my home network and I have not set any explicit QoS rules on my router, how is bandwidth allocated? For example, if computer 1 is downloading a torrent at max speed and a second computer starts a download, how is the bandwidth allocation between the two determined? Thanks!

Sorry if it’s not clear. I was just thinking… It would be easy, right? It would take a ton of Roundup, but one could sneak into, say, corn fields and spray down a bunch of corn such that people flying over would see a big wang or a funny message, right? Farmers don’t keep that close a watch, right?
