Anyone else feel like it's a bad idea to keep shooting down UFO's?
I have pretty bad GERD and a few people have recommended a lectin free diet to me. Looking online, it seems like there are a few posts from people who were helped by such a diet and a ton of posts saying lectin free is "bad science." Curious if anyone here has experience with this diet or a view on the nutritional profile?

Over the holidays, I had a chance to watch Banshees of Inisherin. The rest of the group found the movie boring / disgusting / too dark but I thought it was hilarious. Strongly recommend.

This is the longest break I've taken from Twitter since I joined the site in 2007.
And honestly... it feels great. My body is more relaxed and my mind is more at ease. It's strange to recognize the toll that the drama of social media can take on you.
I'll probably go back at some point, but for now I'm taking January off...
If I were focused on building Mastodon, I'd spend my time solving these three problems:
1. Speed of page loads
2. Not rate limiting users as aggressively
3. Finding a way to stay logged in while browsing other servers
My guess is that I could solve #1 and #2 by moving to my own server but that is not on my priority list this holiday season...
