Hab ich mir gestern auf den Steiß tätowieren lassen!

The German word "bitte" means "please".

Combined with other words, it means more:

Bittebitte! (expandable by as many "bitte" as you want) = Prettyplease!
Wie bitte? = Say what?
Bitteschön (literally: pleasenice) = There you are.
Bittesehr (pleasevery) = There you are.
Na, bitte! = Told you so.
Also bitte! = Stop that!
Aber bitte doch! = Go ahead!
Bitte was? = That's impossible.
WIE BITTE?! = ARE YOU F*CKING SERIOUS?!

Enjoy our language!

@Hollowcrownfans Yep, strolled over from Twitter to take a first-row seat here. Let's wait and see what happens.
This weekend's #ShakespeareSunday theme has been chosen by ESWarriorPoet - READING & WRITING!

Hello Mastodon!

@Hollowcrownfans from Twitter here. A fan group for BBC Shakespeare series '#TheHollowCrown' starring Ben Whishaw, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch and more!

Every weekend we play #ShakespeareSunday, posting Shakespeare quotes on a set theme. Been going 10 years strong! Hope to find Twitter followers and new on here!

@josias Congratulations, that sounds amazing!
@andrhia Interesting! The thought that I am very fond of saw dust and bee vomit is slightly unnerving, though.
I am envious of the Germans, buying and reading this lovely series of books by the brilliant Rudolf Simek. Volume four, Märchensagas, is now out. Sigh. (Please UK or US publishers, do a translated edition?)

@neilhimself Being one of said Germans, I say: Thank you! Or danke schön!
@neilhimself Welcome, sir! Let's figure out together how this works. It says I'm in a queue to follow you, whatever that means, but I'll take that for now!
