⚠️⚠️Hey Hey Everyone!

We got a little surprise for y’all, an EXTRA Zero Fundamentals on June 22th (Saturday)!!!

Coming out of retirement is Strive! Additionally, for the first time, DNF Duel is making it’s debut at ZF! BBCF and Xrd will be ran as per usual.

To calm some of the worries in advanced, this will not replace the July 20nd Zero Fundamentals.
The BBCF Mentor bracket will still happen then.

Bit of a sudden announcement, but due to an unfortunate situation with the management of the venue we unfortunately have to announce that ZF 12 was the last event we were able to host at the denksport centrum in Amersfoort.

Thankfully, thanks to some fast footwork we have succeeded in finding a new venue on time, Stichting Dijkzicht, located relatively nearby in the city of Utrecht. (Only a few minutes walk from the central station!)

This means that we’ll thankfully still be able to run ZF 13 on the planned date of May 25th. Unfortunately, as the costs of the new venue are a bit higher, we’ll be increasing the venue fee from 10 to 15 euros.

We hope that this won’t be too large of a burden on you all and it wasn’t a decision we made lightly.

If you have any further questions about the new venue, feel free to ask in the discord or dm us here.

Thanks and see you all soon!

📅 We got our schedule for the ZF12 this upcoming Sunday! 📅

We also got this amazing video courtesy of Niad on how to get to the venue 🗺️

See you there, and goodluck to the Students and Mentors!

Start GG page is up!

❗ Beware that we have shifted the deadline to register for tournaments to the Wednesday (April 17th) before the event. If you miss the deadline, you will still be able to sign up to attend for casuals, but we will be refusing late tournament registrations.

(Stream) scheduling will now be done based on the amount of signups each game has the weekend before the event, want your game to have lots of airtime? make sure to sign up early!

In order to be able to give all the mentor student pairs the spotlight they deserve we'll only be running 3 tournaments this time around. However in exchange, we shall be running exhibition matches.
Got anybody you want to settle the score with or a cool game you want to showoff to everyone? Make sure to contact your nearest TO!

(Also, for those curious, the seeding in the beginners bracket is mostly done to avoid teamkill of students of the same mentor. We haven't sent any spies to monitor your training sessions I pinky promise)

A message from Yukker

Hi all, Been a while, but we have some updates for the mentor/student bracket!

For those hearing of it for the first time, we heard the call of new players wanting to break into being good at the ZF main games. Starting with the coming Casual Edition we’ll be running a student/teacher tournament for either Xrd or BBCF.

The final game will be decided by voting in this form: https://forms.gle/HsRZXuEKMvMJ3JcA6 (hurry, theres only 1 week left!)

Making teams and training can be done between the Casual Edition and the actual next ZF event in April. The winning team will both get to pick a prize from Alanae’s Swag Vault for the corresponding game.

We are limiting one teacher to a max of 2 students. If you can’t find a teacher or student before the end of the casual edition, we’ll do our best to try and match the single participants left, but no guarantees.

To keep the competition balanced, please avoid fighting the other students before the actual bracket next edition.

Have fun!

(If you have any questions, doubts, or concerns - feel free to reach out to me @Yukker.)

Mentor Bracket

What is this? An opportunity for participants to learn a new game or improve at it, and to share your experience with others. A competition on all fronts: students battling each other in the fields, and mentors battling each other in the shadows. A challenge to see how far one can learn in fixed amount of time, and how much one can share their knowledge. Ultimately, it is the hope that the ice can be broken and new games can be enjoyed, maybe even share in the true treasure: the friends we made along the way.

The next casual edition of Zero Fundamentals is this Saturday! Alongside the mystery and the other community tournaments, this event also marks the start of the Mentor/Student bracket. Get a head start by joining! You can still vote for the game we’ll run!
