Colliding exoplanets around a distant star. The explosion was first seen by NEOWISE and the dimming was caught by @lco - forming a new astronomical object - a "Synestia"!

M17 or Swan Nebula - region of ionized hydrogen gas. It shines because of a cluster of young stars in it. Colours looks a bit funny because I used "narrowband" filters - Ha (green), OIII (blue), SII (red) - on the new 0.35m telescope from @lco #astronomy #astrophotography
