Nothing really, although I imagine if a particular instance was getting overrun with bots the admin or mods would probably step in and possible prevent new accounts from signing up or something

Where did the long list of linked instances come from? Are those the instances of users and communities from other instances accessing this instance?

You may want to remove the @icon for now as well. The &'s are getting changed and greasemonkey wasn't saving it since it couldn't resolve the url

It looks like the lemmy ui itself is changing that after the page loads which seems like a bug. If you refresh and watch the code you can see it change
