Publication Launch: Zandbank Issue #02

Issue #02 is a collection of current and recent art writing, connected through shared interests such as mestizaje, empathy, hauntology, rural living, re-enactment, grain, wishes, nudes, snacking, graduation and stations. The magazine contains new writing as well as re-publications. It will also include two translated articles from the magazine Neonthal, which was active in Groningen 1989-1990.

On Friday 24 October, we will gather at Walter's Bookshop (Groningen) to officially launch Issue #02. Expect performance, reading, cooking, video and a hot DJ-mix. The event is free to visit and you can purchase Issue #02, as well as zandbank's other publications and the amazing catalogue of Walter's Bookshop. The doors will be open around 18:45. The event will take until 21:00. We hope to see you there!

Zandbank is a space for slow reflection and sustainable criticism, resisting the rush of fast commentary. Issue #01 is a collection of texts by artists, curators, and writers—woven together through shared interests such as speculative fiction, ecology, technology, and ethics.
This magazine grew through collective engagement, shaped by group feedback sessions rather than a top-down editorial process. Now, we invite you to take part in the conversation!
