Victoria is getting mandatory fuel price reporting (yay) but with no plans to make it available to third parties (nay).
"RACV warned that Victoria would become the only Australian state with a commercial monopoly on fuel price data if third-party access is not provided. Every other jurisdiction with mandatory fuel price reporting, including New South Wales, makes this data available through public APIs from day one."
