@aurynn I feel like we solved this for App.net, but it would likely involve owning your own domain and DNS. Not exactly egalitarian and low-barrier.

Let's see. Got a job, COVID started, homeschooled the boys, rediscovered my love of tabletop roleplaying games and rebuilt a collection, started dabbling with hand tool woodworking, bookbinding, and watercolor, got kids back in school, had a pool installed in the back yard, and lost a job.
