"First of all, I am not terrible at FTL and can also beat Hard runs fairly regularly. The question is: was it fun? Sadly, every time I close FTL, I regret playing it. A good roguelike should throw varying challenges at you, forcing you to adapt, usually a balanced mix of good and bad boons that you can create your "build" with.
