I’m curious about the meaning of trust in this context.
In my mind, if I trust the team to have the skills, practices, and maturity to do a good job, I’ll encourage splitting. If I don’t, I’ll encourage lumping.

I just stumbled into this conversation and my interest is peaked. Many of the books and talks I come across seem to focus on specific technologies or techniques. The topic of design is more rare.
