Hey @Gargron, I emailed you this morning about maybe grabbing a quick interview for the Times about Mastodon but figured it might be more appropriate to contact you on here! Would you be up for a chat about your aims for Mastodon and what does/will differentiate it from birdsite etc? Would be superb to hear from you as I'm writing about creative challengers to older social media, and Mastodon is the perfect example.

I just saw someone make a comparison between students using jazz hands rather than clapping, and people dying in WW1, as if "Would you rather die in a war, or accommodate deaf people" is a reasonable question to ask
