Aside from the eclipse hype, one thing that is often missing from both people's accounts and pictures is that during totality, you're able to see solar flares _with the naked eye_ if you pay attention. It made me realize how huge these things are.

Also, I used ruby to automate the picture-taking and bracketing during totality, so I could enjoy it with family instead of looking at a screen. Run `ruby photo.rb` and pray!
