You may not know that the US government hired Dorothea Lange to photograph the "relocation effort."
She clearly saw the injustice and human tragedy that was unfolding, and documented it unflinchingly.
Her work was censored, and only in 2006 made broadly available.

Here's the rabbit hole I've gone down. This was supposed to be a simple 16 ebook of my favorite photos from 2022. I was doing it to learn the basics of Affinity Publisher.
The beast has grown to 34. I'm adding more photos and text, and it'll likely be 52 pages and 3000-4000 words by the end of this. I still need to write stories about eight of my favorites. I've gotten two done and decide to redo two.
This has now turned into a week-long project.
