@neilhimself not sure if you saw my reply on Twitter, but Decipher Twit DM-Export might be an option? However, it's not free if you want every single message. I'm including a link where they explain how to use it and near the end they show how it looks as a pdf file. It exports both messages and images from DMs (including the person's name)
