I like to make music, art, and technology with which to make the music and art.
@paul That's really frustrating. If its useful, I've had luck with lineage OS on an old Moto X4 on Boost Mobile (cheapo Sprint service) and (ironically enough) Google Fi. I'm feel like using Fi might void part of the purpose of getting off stock android but... like you said... burn it all down.
@paul this is really cool! What are you scripting the c code with? I ran a little experiment with writing DSP in CPP and scripting with lua earlier this year, which was fun but a bit difficult to compose with.
@mathr really organic looking results. I like it!
@amatecha I heard its only temporarily free so get those papers while they're hot!
@neauoire I really don't know how that part of the audio system is supposed to work and i don't know forth (yet) but it sounds very fun! My cartoon is that you need something to feed samples to a hardware dac and an interface for requesting blocks of those samples from other active programs. my gut from writing synth code for arduino is that you may also want a good fixed point number data type to make it easier to think about 8bit sample values as ranging from -1 to 1.
@hellocatfood no I think you read it right. That down sample crunch really makes drums pop.
@hellocatfood nice!! It might be my crappy phone audio but it seems like the volca gives them extra crunch. Sounds cool!
@neauoire that's so rad!
@neauoire sick!
