@JonnySchnittger @halligan it should do as you said, mfa is secondary auth so you'd only be prompted if someone got the password correct. If you're getting mfa prompts, someone has the password. I'm trying to think of there's anything else that could cause it... But nothing come to mind right now.

Going passwordless would be ideal, given the issue. But still curious.

@JonnySchnittger howdy. Check your AAD Sign-in logs. Should have a reason for the MFA prompt in the data.

Quick guesses are Sign-in risk due to VPN or anonymous IP service, Conditional Access policy requiring frequent MFA, or high user risk due to known password compromise or slowly escalating risk level from VPN activity and Named Locations data isn't updated.

I wanted to take a few moments and apologize to many of my former students.

In the past I said the industry needs people who look at security as a vocation and an avocation.

I was wrong.

Have a life outside of this industry.

Have hobbies that have nothing to do with your computer.

Get outside.

The problems of the industry are not problems of people not working hard enough.

They are not problems of people not being "hard core" enough.

They are problems of education and resource prioritization.

I was wrong.

I am sorry.

Stop breaking yourself on rocks for people who don't really care if you break yourself on rocks.

I like this kind of Humor.
Don’t forget to increment the year in your password!
@malwaretech might be a different incident... I had an in-industry person tell me the book was based on a real incident, and everyone knew what it was. I've assumed it was this.
@malwaretech I believe Michael Chriton's airframe is pretty much about this. Good read.
No survival instincts in the city...
@lori I kept mine running all the time, died in about 2 months. Still, gonna tear apart and figure out the problem. Hoping it's as easy as replacing a fan.
@jerry so say we all
