When your expectations of a great cherry harvest meet reality. Not quite ready yet. This year though, we are hoping we have beaten the birds (trees netted in time) - not sure about the ants, which also like a feed. A few more days and hopefully the bounty will be a little bit bigger.

Walked up at Sanatorium Lake a Mt Macedon with the hound and husband - a good 7 or 8 degrees cooler than at home.

A still morning for the start of another hot day. Our old swamp gum is slowly being swallowed by new swamp gums growing around it. The void between Christmas and New Year is timeless, lazy and allows quiet rambling contemplation.

No Christmas tree this year, but we do have a Christmas flue.

We planted banksias down the driveway 3 years ago. This year has been the first tine we’ve had flowers. Really fascinating to see how they are developing over time.

The big and small of our household and best friends. Hazel, the cat has trained several dogs over the years, but I think Kevin is her favourite.
