Installed #CachyOS next to my Arch install. I'm trying out Cosmic. I like the looks so far and that it can do tiling and floating. I love that yay is just a package in cachy and I don't have to go through the trouble of installing it.

Some more progress on the microcontroller clock.

It's going to be fitted inside a cassette shell, so the digits are designed to look like a tape counter.

I think I'm going to end up making the animation smooth, it should make it look way better.

You've got mail! :>

In 2025, the German federal government committed to adopting Open Document Format (ODF) as a national standard by 2027.

This article from the European Commission’s Open Source Observatory (OSOR) explores this development.

Given the state of things, I sort of want to create a computing space in which it’s impossible to use AI. I want the artifacts in this space to feel like plants in a garden, something a person can work on little by little.

Not sure how this could be accomplished, I just want there to exist such a space.

Good to see @maximilianhenning from @euractiv covering @EUCommission use of Element and Matrix.

A government cannot be digitally sovereign if it’s locked into using a specific vendor. Matrix solves that problem.
