Ok, after more than 15 years, my little Marimekko coin purse is falling apart. And.... I've been thinking I should replace it with something more grown up, something where I don't have to fumble for change forever and throw out all my cards in the process. A real proper wallet. (Especially since I'm much less of a Marimekko fanby now than I was as a teenager.)

But now I decided no, actually, I've been looking for years and there's just nothing I'd rather have than this little cutie. So I think I'll get another little Marimekko coin purse. Hunt around a little until I find another pattern that I really like.

Unless maybe someone knows a similarly durable brand of little coin purses with this same closing mechanism that are just big enough for bank cards and such? I don't expect there to be many, but I feel like I should at least ask vaguely into the void.

Heres a picture of mine, it's made of a slightly fluffy fabric, not the usual smooth cotton.

Ich hab soooo viele Tinten schön gefunden, und es ist mir fast ein bisschen peinlich, zuzugeben, wie sehr ich mich bedient habe! Aber das war ja auch explizit erlaubt, und aah, ich freu mich auf alle davon. Von meiner Tinten-Schmöker-Begleitung @minx hab ich mir bei der Gelegenheit auch eine Probe abfüllen lassen  Und gemeinsam haben wir auch wieder gut nachgeschlichtet.

Also, ich hab mir wie zu erwarten viel Grün/Blau aus dem Paket genommen, aber auch ein bisschen Violett und sogar ein Braun:

Am allermeisten überrascht hat mich, wie gut KWZ Honey riecht 😻 nach.... Honig?

Sonst hab ich mich über Tees gefreut, und, oh, so einen äh FüllPinsel hab ich mir geschnappt, und noch einen Stift. Ganz besonders toll finde ich aber den Sticker mit dem Waschbären, der die Genderqueer-Fahne ziemlich sicher geklaut hat.

Ok, I successfully fought Syncthing and now I have some pictures from a shitty phone ready for the #ShittyCameraChallenge.

I love the blurriness, the washed out look of most colours and how absurdly green the greens look on my current phone. But I'm doing this chronologically. More greens to come in the next post.

Hidden because food.

Oooh, I just randomly found a roll of film in a drawer. It has definitely been stored too warm, and probably for many many years, without a can, and i have no idea if it's been used and forgotten. So I guess analogue it is!

After that I attempted and managed to remove a very, very leaky battery that was stuck in my very first camera ever, and now it's working. I was so sure there was no film in there..... but there was! Oooof. I realised that after I pressed the rewind button (don't ask why I pressed that), and of course I didn't look at the counter either. I have no idea if there were 2 pictures on there or 23.... do I just put it back in or nah?

Well, whichever decision I make, I feel well enough prepared for #ShittyCameraChallenge.

How does this kickstand work? I found it in our bike box and can't get it to move. It doesn't even look like it can move to me.

I tried mounting it on my bike just in case the forces were magically different then – still couldn't move it, just got scared I'd bend my frame.

On it it says "Tranz-X pat 77709". The reviews for it are mixed but none says "it doesn't fucking move". So I assume I'm missing an obvious step.

The descriptions say it "features a spring design that locks the kickstand in either position", and I guess that's what the mystery is about. But I can't figure it out. I can pull the outermost plastic layer down a few mm, with a lot of force, but that doesn't do anything as far as I can tell.

You know about the phone box that I started using as a public bookshelf, with unknown people keeping the thing going when I didn't have the energy to look after it. Even after the tiny shelf got removed.

So. Look what I just found there!! A Barbie Party Cookbook from 1991.

Also! A lid (for a pot) the exact same size as one of our lids that broke.

I feel like I'm being compensated for every hardship I ever faced. This might well be the peak of my life.
