I could see why the analytics could be controversial for privacy-focused FOSS peertube users but i don't think the analytics themselves are too invasive, compared with the extra stats you see on youtube studio for example. Letting other people view stats also is interesting, i remember that peertube hides some things such as views of a video in the last 30 days from the API unless you sign in as the owner of the video. This would be interesting for a discussion though.

Thanks for putting your content on peertube, it's making it easier for others (like me) to start spending time on peertube as a watcher. It's a fun way to get ahead of the curve of people leaving youtube, why I started uploading videos on PT after youtube removed dislikes.
