@iMike Animal House, the scene where a horse is walked into the dean's office.
@jerry My morning cup of r/antiwork was missing! Must be Monday ...
I know I am extremely culturally biased but “Silicon Valley Bank” kind of screams “Juicero Pets.com Savings and CryptoLoan” to me.
@SchottHappens I'm not surprised. When the "reality" you imagine does not match up with events that should logically follow you are pushed to increasingly more desperate narratives. The problem for the "grounded in reality" population is simple: we can't distinguish those that aren't from those that are clinically crazy. The last two categories don't fare well in court (at least so far).
@StevenBeschloss He's a bitter man, with money. He's bitter because he believes the "deep state" has, and is, conspiring to deny him his just rewards. Regulatory agencies have stood between him and his goals on numerous occasions. His levers over the government, and their agencies are SpaceX and Starlink. The events surrounding the Twitter acquisition are a warning to the "deep state" to play ball, on his terms.

Sports illustrated fired him for challenging their pay cuts during the pandemic.

He ran to unseat FIFA’s president.

He challenged human rights abuses in Qatar.

RIP Grant Wahl, who’s career was as much about great reporting as it was about speaking truth to abusive power.

In spring 2020, I crafted myself 5 rules for how I would engage on Twitter. Generally, I think they've worked well for me:

1. Tweet with intent 🖋️
2. Stay positive 🙂
3. Engage in good faith 🫱🏿‍🫲🏻
4. You don't owe anyone a response 💁🏻‍♀️
5. Never feed the trolls 🧌

@MeidasTouch The pedo crap is pure Qanon trolling, and I am pretty sure Russian state propaganda is behind their memes. Of course, pedophilia is a scourge, but real care has to be exercised before saying (like Texas Paul did) that any particular group is not to be trusted. Pedophiles will most likely be found in jobs with children around and these criminals will seek to occupy a trusted position in those jobs. That's what parents need to know.
There have been a lot of sick and disturbing posts lately from the far right about children. Watch Texas Paul break down the threat and then remain vigilant. There is something seriously wrong here: https://youtu.be/IIUs-TFcCCk
