Just got on Surf by Flipboard. Really interested to see what can happen with the fediverse.
Ran on Saturday to start the weekend, took a nice walk on Sunday evening to close it out. Taking it slow but enjoying getting more active.
Today in I love my Pixel: My work iPhone's lightning port broke while I'm at a work convention. I was able to use power sharing to make my Pixel into a wireless charger to charge my iPhone overnight.

6 PM: I'm exhausted. A nap sounds great but I don't want to ruin my sleep tonight.

11 PM: I have ascended past the human need for sleep.

1 AM: Shit I have work tomorrow, I have to sleep ASAP.

7 AM: I will risk losing my job to snooze just one more time.

This is every day of my life.

Forgot to say the car is a 23 Chevy Bolt EUV

The weirdest thing has been switching from a cabin air heater to seat warmers and a heated steering wheel. The car still has a cabin heater, but it takes more power than the seats and wheel. It feels fine though to me, of anything it feels faster to warm me up than any gas car has.

So that's about it for my one-month report. Let me know if there's anything I can answer about driving an electric car!

Just had my home charger installed today and this one is going to make everything so much easier. With the rate I get for off peak charging (After 9 on weekdays, anytime on weekends) I can get a 240 mile charge for between $4.55 and $6.50. I'll admit I'll feel a little smug when gas hits $4 a gallon again!

As for the car itself, it's been great so far. The comment I get most often is how much it looks like a "normal" car, which I definitely prefer to some of the more abstract models out there.

With the current apps out there it's pretty easy to plan your route and your parking/ charging, but it is something you have to think about ahead of time, I can't count on finding a Fast Charger like I can a gas station. (Yet.)

One month with an electric car update!

So far we've put about a thousand miles on it and this is what I'm thinking so far.

Charging is definitely different from refueling. The way I've been thinking about it is that with a gas car, I could fuel up on the go, and it'd probably only take 10 minutes or so all told. With the EV, I fuel up when I'm stopped.

Put my money where my mouth is and bought a union-made electric car. Got the Bolt EUV yesterday and I'm looking forward to finding all the best places to top off when I'm out and about. Home charger should be installed in a week or two. Let me know if you have any tips or questions as I'm switching over.
