#AFLCatsDemons. - the Jeremy Cameron incident.

A Geelong player, Gary Roahan approaches the players contesting the ball (Cameron & Lever). Rather than tackling or shepherding he goes for a bump. But he miscued, and in doing so, sent his own team mate to hospital.

Now, what was his intent. To take out his opponent, Jake Lever? And if so will he be off to the Tribunal?

Footy fans are bewildered with the decisions being handed down by the MRO & #AFL tribunal.

James Sicily received a three suspension for a tackle that for generations was deemed perfect.

Rhyan Mansell was charging toward the ball & arrived at the ball at full pace, yet he had the fortitude to brace for impact, becuase he could see that he needed to protect himself. The other player didn’t slow fown & protect himself. He was injured. Mansell gets suspended for 3 weeks.

Neither of these incidents were in anyway violent.

Saturday night at the G. Daniel Rioli is in possession of the ball & in the act of kicking it forward, when a St Kilda player, with an elbow raised hot Rioli on the jaw.

Raising an elbow cost the Saints player a $2000 fine. FOR A RAISED ELBOW. That’s an act of violence (lower scale, I do submit), however, it’s not on.

Yet tackle a player, like we were always taught, and you get the book thrown at you.

The systems broke #AFL. Get the charges, the punishments & the outcomes right. Becuase at the moment it’s sn utter mess.

Richmond FC. Appoint Andrew McQualter now. He is Richmond. Has a game plan that suits modern footy. The subtle tweaks he has applied have worked. Sure, it’s a small sample size in five games. However it’s working.

Has the players, the fans & the coaching staff behind him. Give him the job, NOW.
