Tonight, along with updating sites in the #OSINT WhatsMyName project to improve accuracy, I implemented a schema change that will enable downstream #developers to track sites we've removed from the project.

Now, the optional "protection" element in WhatsMyName includes indicators for various protection mechanisms, such as Cloudflare, CAPTCHAs, user authentication, multiple verification methods, and other measures that block automated requests.

Previously, we removed sites requiring authentication (like Facebook or Instagram) or those behind Cloudflare, or relied on third-party sites to check them. With this update, we can reintegrate protected sites into the project, allowing developers of checker tools to create circumvention methods for these protections in their scripts.

Sometimes the missing persons cases I help work on for the National Child Protection Task Force (NCPTF) reach a resolution and the main stream media picks them up.

One of the best lessons I've learned is that when you share with the community, we all get stronger.

Over the years, through my GitHub, social media, trainings, and many talks, I've developed, deployed, and shared countless tools and techniques for #cyber and #OSINT audiences alike.

But this has never been about me...sure...sure....I LOVE getting on a stage and talking about Untappd or jumping on a live stream and playing Geoguessr. This has always been about community-building and making sure that everyone can learn, explore, and grow.

@hatless1der (1) and I (2) had an outstanding time speaking about #OSINT for @myosinttraining and then again about National Child Protection Task Force (NCPTF) at the ECAC (European Crime Analysis Conference) for law enforcement in Copenhagen yesterday. The conference staff has been absolutely incredible in organizing and executing the event, the other speakers were engaging and extremely knowledgeable, and the attendees were welcoming and delightful to speak with.

We made many lasting connections here this year and are looking forward to future events.
