Did a 4-park rove yesterday (well, one was a 3-fer so technically a 6-park rove) with my POTABuddy (tm) Jack, N9ITB. Ended up with 153 Q’s, even with half of it being in light rain. FT-857d into a 20m hamstick magmounted on the roof. Fun!
On my way home from the Halibut Hang (tm) with @smitty, I managed to find a hole in the storms and stopped at US-2266, Prophetstown State Park. Conditions were a bit rough, and one Alpha Hotel started tuning up over me as soon as I started calling, but I powered through and got 13 in the log. Since I forgot my laptop, I was forced to try HAMRS on my iPhone. Worked decently enough. G90 with CHA 17’ whip.
Yesterday I drove down to Bloomington, IN (future ancestral home of Capt. Janeway) to hang out with my friend @smitty. Talked radio, nerdy Internet stuff, troubleshot my OHIS setup. Ate some great BBQ. Well worth the six hours on the road.

Just saying....

And get off my lawn.

@smitty Listened to HRWB. Heard @n6ara talk about a business he wasn’t planning on starting. Expected a response from you. Was not disappointed.

Well, crap. At least I have a year to save up enough to buy a red shirt.

And I'm from that world where wearing a red shirt is not necessarily the safest choice...

@VE6LK Vince, so far I'm keeping to the QSO-per-week goal. Plus POTA hunting. And hearing a lot of other people getting Clipperton.
@smitty @qrper @VE6LK Is this what really happens?
@smitty This explains a lot.
On the Holland America Koningsdam in Alaska. Tonight is “Orange Night” and they want us all to wear something orange. Sorry. Not going to wear anything that might hint I’m a Verstappen fan.
