At a recent event some of my colleagues expressed concern that they did not get a chance to see a real live moose.
I explained to them that seeing a real live moose is a very good way to also get to see how the Canadian medical system works.

"If the CRA is, in fact, implemented as written, it will have a chilling effect on open source software development as a global endeavour, with the net effect of undermining the EU’s own expressed goals for innovation, digital sovereignty, and future prosperity."
In this letter, twelve open source software leadership organizations collectively offer their expertise directly to the EU and member states to make constructive changes to the legislation in support of strengthening cybersecurity without harming the open source software community.
Alan Turing is widely recognized as a hero and a genius. He’s considered the father of theoretical computer science and AI.
But he was also a gay man whom the British government chemically castrated.
Turing killed himself because of the way his government treated him.
What more might he have done had he lived?
As this wave of hatred sweeps the US, I wonder how many gay and trans Alan Turings we’ve already lost, and how many we’ll continue to lose.
The drive to make every friggin' communication channel we have useless makes me crazy.
I guess that I can take comfort that this is the "last time".
The German word "halten" can mean:

The word "halt" can mean:
- simply
- just
So, the sentence
"Jetzt halt halt den Mund, halt das mal, dann halt ich halt hier"
means
"Simply shut up, hold on to this, I will just stop here"
